Privacy Policy
What this tool collects
Portpeek does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no user accounts, no sign-up forms, no cookies for tracking, and no analytics scripts.
- The hostnames and ports you enter are sent to the server only to perform the reachability check.
- No log of the hostnames you check is retained server-side.
- No IP addresses are logged.
- No browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, or cookies) is used by this site.
How check results are handled
Check results (status, latency) are returned to your browser and rendered on screen. They exist only in the current browser session. Refreshing the page clears them. There is no database, no historical record, and no mechanism to retrieve past results.
Network requests
When you run a check, the Portpeek server opens outbound TCP connections from the Cloudflare edge to the hostname and ports you specify. These connections are the sole purpose of the service. The server does not inspect, store, or forward the contents of any data exchanged during those connections — it records only whether the handshake succeeded, was refused, or timed out, and the measured latency.
Third-party services
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts (DM Sans, Source Sans 3, JetBrains Mono). Google may collect information about requests for these fonts as described in Google's Privacy Policy. No other third-party services are used.
Changes to this policy
If the data practices of this tool change, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date will reflect the revision. No separate notification will be sent (there are no accounts or contact methods to send one).
