Terms of Service
What this service is
Portpeek is a utility that checks whether a specified port on a specified hostname is reachable from the Cloudflare edge network. It opens outbound TCP connections, measures the handshake, and reports one of three outcomes: connected, refused, or timed out.
No accounts, no stored data
This service does not offer user accounts, registrations, or any form of persistent storage. Check results exist only in your current browser session and are not retrievable after the page is refreshed or closed.
- No registration or login is required or available.
- No data you enter is stored server-side.
- No history of your checks is recorded or accessible.
Acceptable use
You may use this tool only to check the reachability of hosts and ports you own or have explicit permission to test. You may not use it to enumerate ports on hosts you do not own, to probe networks without authorisation, or to harass or disrupt any system or network. Portpeek is a reachability check, not a port scanner.
Port 25 restriction
Port 25 (SMTP) is blocked on this platform. Any attempt to check port 25 will be rejected with a 400 error before any network connection is attempted. This platform limitation is not a reflection of the target host's firewall or service status.
Platform limitations
Portpeek runs on Cloudflare Workers. The following platform behaviours may affect results:
- Hosts behind Cloudflare cannot receive TCP connections from the Cloudflare Worker network and will report as TIMED OUT regardless of their actual reachability from the open internet.
- Port 443 uses TLS. The measured latency includes TLS handshake time and will be higher than a plain TCP handshake.
- A 10-second timeout applies per port. Connections that do not complete within 10 seconds are reported as TIMED OUT.
Billing and subscriptions
Pro plan subscription. The Pro plan is billed monthly at $12 USD per month (the "Subscription Fee"). A paid Pro subscription grants access to features not available on the Free tier: unlimited ports per check, batch checks across multiple hostnames, a historical dashboard, scheduled monitoring, CSV export, and no rate limiting on the API. Specific features included at each tier are listed on the Pricing page.
Billing period. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly basis. The first charge occurs at the start of the billing period. Each subsequent charge occurs on the same day of each following month. If the renewal charge fails, the subscription enters a grace period described below.
Failed payments. If a payment attempt fails (card declined, expired, or insufficient funds), Portpeek will automatically retry the charge up to three times over a 7-day period. A failed charge notification will be displayed in the dashboard. If all retries fail, access to Pro features will be suspended and the subscription will be downgraded to the Free tier at the end of the billing period. Previous Pro data (dashboard history, saved configurations) will be retained for 30 days after suspension, after which it may be deleted.
Refund policy. Because the subscription grants immediate access to digital features, all charges are final and non-refundable except in the case of a billing error (you were charged an incorrect amount) or a prolonged service outage exceeding 72 consecutive hours. In those cases, a pro-rated refund or credit will be issued. To request a refund, contact the operator using the contact information listed on this page.
Price changes. The Subscription Fee may be increased with 30 days’ written notice sent to the email address associated with your account. If you do not agree to the new fee, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
Cancellation. You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are given for the remainder of a billing period after cancellation. After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free tier.
No warranty
This service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The operator makes no guarantees about the accuracy, availability, or reliability of results. Port reachability is inherently variable — a result that shows a port as reachable at one moment does not guarantee it will be reachable the next.
Limitation of liability
In no event will the operator be liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use this service, including but not limited to reliance on check results for security or operational decisions.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
No governing law or jurisdiction is specified because no legal entity has been registered for this service. These terms will be updated with governing law when a jurisdiction is established.
Contact
This service is operated by an individual who has not yet registered a legal entity. There is no postal address, no phone number, and no email address available for this service at this time. When a legal entity is registered and contact methods are established, they will be listed here.
